If you need to cancel your Websyt subscription, here's everything you need to know.
How to cancel
To cancel, please submit a cancellation request through our website form. We'll confirm receipt of your cancellation in writing.
Notice period
We require 30 days' notice to cancel. There are no refunds for any unused portion of your current billing period.
What happens next depends on your billing cycle
If you're on monthly billing: Your subscription will end, and your website will come down, 30 days after we receive your cancellation request.
If you're on annual billing: Cancelling is treated as notice that you won't be renewing. Your website stays live and fully supported for the rest of your current annual period. You won't lose access early. Once that period ends, your subscription closes and no further charges apply.
What happens to your website
Once your cancellation takes effect (immediately at the 30-day mark for monthly, or at the end of your annual term), your site and hosting come down straight away.
What happens to your domain
We register and manage your domain on your behalf while you're subscribed. When you cancel, we release and transfer the domain to you upon request, so you can keep ownership of it going forward. Just note: we don't provide business email, so if you (or any previous setup) had email pointing at this domain, those records will need to be reconfigured once the domain moves.
Before you go
If you're cancelling because something isn't working for you, it's always worth reaching out to support first. We may be able to help, whether that's a change to your site, a different plan, or just talking through the issue. You're also welcome to go straight ahead with cancelling if you've already made your decision.
